Elaine Robertson's Obituary
Elaine R. McCaffrey, 76, of Dowagiac, formerly of Chicago, passed away on November 16, 2021, at her home.
Elaine was born on August 3, 1945, to George & Irene (Matthews) Hatch Sr., in Pine Plains, NY. She graduated from Pine Plains High School. After high school, Elaine graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Simmons University and Boston College where she earned her degree as a Nurse Practitioner. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner at University of Illinois Hospital for over 20 years before her retirement. In 1997, Elaine married John McCaffrey in Chicago. In 2002 they bought their summer home in Dowagiac; this is where Elaine grew her passion for gardening. Elaine will be remembered as a kind person with a giving heart.
Elaine is survived by her husband, John. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother George Hatch, Jr.
