Craig's Obituary
Craig Alan Weaks, 65, of Galien, formerly of Taylor, MI., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Craig was born on July 21, 1956, to Dick and Mitzi (Daisy) Weaks in Wyandotte, MI. He graduated from Southgate High School in Southgate, MI. On December 13, 1987, he married Nancy Holda in Ann Arbor and in 1992 he and Nancy settled down in Galien MI.
Craig enjoyed gardening, camping, canoeing, fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. Craig was an excellent cook and especially loved his Hungarian cuisine. Craig immensely enjoyed being a member of Galien Lions club and was active in all their activities. Craig will also be remembered for his love of stories, storytelling and for those he cherished sharing them with.
Craig is survived by his wife Nancy of 33 years, his mother, Mitzi Weaks; his brother, Christopher (Gloria) Weaks, his niece Madeline, nephew Gus, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Weaks and brothers, Marc and William Weaks.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Craig’s life will be held at the Galien River Church, 2289 Olive Branch Rd, Galien, Mi, 49113 on Sunday, November 14th at noon. A memorial service will also be held in Farmington Hills at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to the family for final expenses.
