Clyde was truly a treasure. Anytime we was walking past the shop he would always stop in and say, "Gary, if you need anything just call me I'll make sure you get taken care of." With his "Dapper Dan" looks of a denim shirt, jeans and boot he always had a smile on his face. We'll always remember the story that Zero Backus would tell about when Clyde was Chief of Police & he saw someone heading to their car from one of our local bars swaying a bit, he would stop and say, "let me give you a ride home." The world would be a much better place if we had more Clyde's and his lovely wife Geri. We wish we could be there to toast on 5/21 but we will be there in spirit!

Pops... The lessons you taught me are to numerous to list. You always saw the beauty in life. And you were such a role model on how to love your spouse fiercely and selflessly. James said you were a man he could never measure up too. What a different world this would be if more men were like you. I am so very grateful I had a Grandpa who never missed a single birthday or Christmas with my family. Your parting has left a huge void. I will forever be grateful you were mine. I will try not to be bitter that you get to be with Dawson before me, I am sure he had a cup of Joe ready for you! Forever your, Shakey

Goodbye Grandpa. I finally watched “The Sons of Katie Elder” and wish I had more time to talk to you about it. I can see why you liked it. Thank you for teaching me that family, should always come first, no matter what. I was always so proud to have the same middle name as you and made sure to point that out to all my cousins. I’ll miss you and carry your memory with me always.

Chief Clyde Weaver was a leader. People admired and looked up to him as a public servant, community volunteer, family patriarch, and everyone’s friend. I was honored to work with Clyde for many years. His talents, smile, generosity, and true kindness are traits that I will always remember and admire. My condolences to his entire family. We have lost a treasured leader…and wonderful friend.
