Charlynn's Obituary

Charlynn Faye McCullough, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in St. Joseph. She was born March 27, 1948 in Michigan City, IN to Charles Covert and Martha (Damore) LaBair.

Charlynn was a graduate of New Buffalo High School and the National Beauty College, class of 1966. Despite her 18-year battle with cancer, Charlynn loved life, which showed through her daily “Good Morning” messages, each equipped with a different bouquet of flowers. She loved Disney, travelling, the “LiveStrong at the YMCA” program, and the glory days of high school. Charlynn was a proud mother and grandmother, but her true joy was being nanny to Gabrielle. She was also proud of her role as restaurant manager at the Sawyer Truck Plaza and as a hair stylist. She will be remembered and missed for her positive, loving nature.

Charlynn is survived by her children, Tracie (Thomas) Davis, Tiffani (Jim) Haughey, and Trina (Brandon) Ramirez; her grandchildren, Jacob (Bradie), Jordan (Ellie), Danny (Jessie), Natalie, Michelle (Jordyn), Lily, Gabrielle, J.D., Rylee, and Teya; her great grandchildren, Maddie, Christopher, Chandler, Beckham; her siblings, Charles Covert, Jr., and Kimberly Covert; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Blackie and Quincy.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her grandson, Bradford.

Services will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be given to the Berrien County Cancer Service, www.bccancerservice.org.

Love Lives On

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one’s gone…
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart
