Agnes J. Leazenby, 98, of Niles, formerly Buchanan, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Woodland Terrace at Longmeadow, Niles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3 North 19th St., Niles, MI. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass, also at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church. Agnes was born on April 2, 1924, to Ray and Emily (Donner) Travis in Buchanan. She graduated from Buchanan High School. Immediately after graduating, Agnes started her career at Clark Equipment Company. She served in the personnel department for thirty years before retiring. On May 26, 1951, she married James T. Leazenby, they shared thirty-two years together before his passing in 1983. Agnes was a long-time faithful member at St. Mark Catholic Church. She loved Notre Dame and was an avid supporter.
Agnes is survived by her special nephew and caregiver, Ross M. Leazenby, Jr. and many other nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Emily Travis; husband, Jim Leazenby and brothers, Robert, Sr. and Raymond Travis.
