Lloyd's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Lloyd here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
We will always remember Lloyd as a great conversationalist, a supporter of youth, and a helpful, giving friend. Lloyd used to arrive at our farm at early morning hours or later in the evenings to help us transport livestock. He was all business until the job was done. Then the interesting and enjoyable conversations started. Our children took his helpful advice very seriously and it was much appreciated by us. Lloyd had a keen eye for quality livestock and he helped our children as they showed animals at the Berrien County Youth Fair. Still to this very day when we hear trailer wheels coming into the farm, early or late, we often think of Lloyd and all the good he has done for us and the youth of Berrien County.

I first met Lloyd a year ago when I joined Memorial Hospital's Phase 3 Cardio Rehab Program. Being new and not knowing anyone upon arrival Lloyd was the first person I talked to. He was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. I realized then that he was a very nice person and we hit it off right away. Over the period of a little more than a year we became good friends. One nice thing about arriving early for the class we shared many conversations. This past Friday when I arrived for the class I was informed that he had passed away. I was shocked and saddened by this news and yes I did shed a tear. I know he will be missed by everyone in the class. The phrase "He is in a Better Place i" is often times overused, but in Lloyd's case no. For now he is pedaling the Nu-Step and walking the treadmill with the angels. Lloyd, Rest in Peace and God Bless.
