Timmie (Tim) Ray Church, 66, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at his home in Decatur.
The family will celebrate Tim’s life at 2pm, Friday, November 5, 2021 at Decatur First Church of God, 708 S. George St., Decatur, Pastor Mike Heflin officiating. Timmie was born June 20, 1955 in Grand Rapids, MI to Elias and Lola (Neeley) Church. He was a proud Navy veteran, serving from 1978 to 1980. Family and fishing were very important to Timmie, and you could often find him fishing with his brothers or spending time tending to his many gardens.
Timmie is survived by his siblings, James S. Church, Robert (Emma) Church, Brenda (Robin) Groves, Doug (Pam) Church, and Roger Church; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie and John Church; his niece, Janice Michelle; his nephew, Jeffrey; and his parents.
