Darlene Rector, 81, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Heritage Chapel and Cremation Service, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI with Pastor Carl Bassett officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M, Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Funeral Home. In consideration of everyone’s health, please wear a mask for both the visitation & service. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Darlene was born February 1, 1940 in Benton Harbor, MI to Alfred “Gus” & Frances (Shafer) Balough. She attended Berrien Springs High School. On July 25, 1987 she married William “Bill” Rector in Louisville, KY. Darlene worked as a Pharmacy Tech for many years. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Darlene also loved playing bingo, dancing and shopping.
Darlene is survived by her husband William “Bill” Rector; daughter Vicki (JR) Benavidez; son Jerry (Jimijune) Fryman; grandchildren Cindi (Doug) Johansen, Rob (Christina) Sauder, Amanda Fryman, Amber (Joe) Fenner, Meghan (Cody) Kline, Mason Hojara and Brialle Fryman; 11 great grandchildren; sister Sandra (Mike) Stephens; 2 nieces and a nephew.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debbie Fryman and great grandson Camden Sauder.
