Carlene's Obituary
Carlene Mariea Wishon, 74, of South Haven, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her husband and loving family. She was born January 17, 1947 to Otto General and Letha Viole (Moore) Caldwell in Kennett, Missouri. Carlene married Guy Leon Wishon on August 24, 1963 in South Haven, Michigan and they shared 58 years of marriage before her passing. She worked at Big Wheel for ten years before starting her career at Walmart. After twenty-two years of service, she retired as the assistant manager in 2012. Carlene had a great love for being outdoors and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and bird watching, especially the hummingbirds and chickens. Some of her other favorite pastimes were crocheting, going to the casino, and drinking coffee. But most of all, Carlene loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son-in-law – Arturo Aleman and siblings – Frankie Jean Burns, Annamae Castaneda, Barbara Ann Wishon, and Billy Jo, George “Sonny”, Dorothy, and Otto G. Caldwell.
Carlene is survived by her husband – Guy Leon Wishon; children – Brenda Aleman of Covert, Sherry Wishon of Bloomingdale, Guy Wishon, Jr. of South Haven, and Christy (William) Parsell of Fennville; siblings – Delois Osborn and Donald Caldwell of South Haven and Jay Caldwell of Plant City, Florida; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 3rd 2022 at the family’s home.
