Nancy's Obituary
Nancy Netedu Worthington, 86, died peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Caretel Inns, Saint Joseph.
Nancy was born December 9, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late John R. and Dorothy R. Netedu. Nancy graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1955 and then attended Michigan State University until 1957. On July 4, 1957, Nancy married Charles “Chuck” Worthington (deceased 2017), and they were married for 60 years. Nancy and Chuck raised three children: John (1959-1979), David, and Laura (Lori).
Nancy is survived by son, David Worthington and daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Jeff Clymer; grandchildren, John (Allie) Clymer and Stephanie Clymer and great-granddaughter, Mia Clymer, as well as her sister, Laura (Lalee) Kuball and multiple nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a dedicated volunteer throughout her life, serving in such capacities as President of Women’s Service League, President of Planned Parenthood, and a member (first female) of the Berrien County Health Department Board. She was a member of the St. Joseph First Congressional Church and a founding member of the St. Joseph Aquatic Club.
Nancy loved dancing, bowling, bridge, Follies, Ball Noel, Berrien Hills Country Club, and the Saint Joseph River Yacht Club. She most cherished being at the beach and the company of family and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 4 from 2-4PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, Saint Joseph.
